Good Tired: Dedicated to MizFit

I have sung Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer over and over again for about 45 minutes today! My kids are performing it (and a bunch of other tunes) to their parents next week and I was trying to make them sing it perfectly.

Something quite funny happened in the end; I looked at them all and said “Guys, I am tired!”

Then one of my girls said “Moran, please, I don’t want you to be tired”

I then had a flashback to MizFit’s post, looked at them and said “Oh but guys, I am good tired! I am happy that I am tired because we got SO much done today!”

I really am good tired! I cannot put into words how much I love my job and my kids. They are a.m.a.z.i.n.g! And I get so much joy from seeing them progress in their learning.

The Gym

I am participating in Melissa’s Blogger Holiday Marathon Challenge . I am not sure how things will turn out, as in should I just “run” the marathon or more, but one thing I am starting to make myself get ready for: I want to run outside for that week my gym is closed. Guys, I don’t know if I make it clear enough how much I suffer from the cold. The layers! The runny nose! The frozen hands! But I want to get out there. I know it will be hard for me to not exercise as often (not exercising at all is not an option) or working out from my DVDs. I will definitely show you my prospective attire later on this week and ask for your feedback!!

I hopped on the treadmill and did 5.4 KM today; 5 KM running, 400 meters walking. I had to rush again, this time for a facial!!

School

I had to come in earlier to school today and leave later! We have so much going on right before the holidays! The good news is, I got an A for my mid-term and an A on the quiz we had last week. All are for my Principles of Management class. I am 3/4 of the way done with my paper so I just gotta work on that and then I get to enjoy my vacation have to study for the final in January!

My Splenda issues…

I have commented about them before; I am pretty much a regular “Splenda” user (we don’t have Splenda in the Czech Republic, so I use a “local” sweetener). The amazing Caitlin of Feed Between the Lines has been giving me some amazing tips on how to try and dismiss the usage…This morning I did not use it (yay!), and instead of my usual of oats (40 grams dried) I used only 25 grams, and another 20 grams of my high-fiber cereals. That was definitely a sweeter combination, probably because my cereals have some sugar! I know this is not a food blog, but because I am in love with my iPhone I just snap pictures all the time, even of my food. So here it goes, my breakfast…

And that dish behind is my ma’s oh-so-yummy-I-can-eat-it-all-at-once chocolate cake. See how many temptations are around?

  • ooooh THANKS for the shoutout and making me smile. loving your job? LOVING YER KIDS? that’s what goodtired is all about for me as well.

  • I’ll do the marathon mileage challenge with you. Sounds good to me. btw, running outside dress as if it was 10 degrees warmer than it is. Otherwise, you’ll be stripping off tons of layers as you go.

  • thanks for the shout out! I totally agree that it is hard to maintain exercise in the cold. Not only do I walk significantly less, but running outside is out of the question on windy days! I do rely more on the gym and workout videos. In fact, I need to purchase Core Fusion, which just came out today!

  • Yay! I’m so happy you enjoyed your breakfast today, and I’m glad to help. Congrats for no Splenda!

  • MizFit, your post really did put things into the right perspective!
Chelsea, so glad you are joining the challenge! I will need some shout outs when I have to head to the cold!
Melissa, thank YOU for doing the challenge!
Caitlin, I am off to look for maple syrup today!!

  • Hey! I love your blog! It was so nice to find it- Mind if I add you to my blogroll?
