At Home Exercise

Sometimes I just don’t feel like going to the gym, running outside, or anything like that. If I am still in an exercise mood, I will try to do something at home. I have a set of 1 kg dumbbells and the stairs in my house. This is more than enough to get a good workout.

Some tips:

· Log on to www.youtube.com and type in “exercise video” / “home fitness” or anything along these lines; you will be amazed at the amount of videos that are available there. Its enough for you to pick 3 10-minute videos to get an awesome workout.

· Make your own aerobic/dance class: put on your favourite dance tracks and just go wild! It burns a lot of calories, pumping your heart to the 160s!

· Do any strength training you can, including crunches, push-ups, bicep curls….the list goes on forever. The ones I find to get my heart rate to its peak are squats, lunges and The Madonna

Sample Workout

Duration: approximately 30 minutes (including warm up and cool down)

· 15 minutes of your own aerobic class – jumping, dancing, rope skipping etc.
