Totally not dragging

Okay, if I see more Carte D’Or in the house, I will seriously eat it all!

That’s right – Mozart!

And I am not even a fan of Marzipan! But it landed in my house today and I cannot help but wonder….

Regardless of ice cream temptations, I have been eating like crazy this past weekend. I am so hungry all the time! I guess it is because I have really increased my mileage (I covered almost 70 KM this week) but all I want is more apples and more cereals and more wasa cracker and more cottage cheese and mostly, MORE STEAMED VEGGIES!

Morning Run

So I barely got out of bed this morning. But I had to because class was pending (last weekend seminar! YAY!)

I also knew that I would have to do some abs at the end of my workout and I wasn’t looking forward to that. Of all muscle groups, I hate working my abdominals. I have no idea why, but such is the case. Perhaps its a phase or something.

So I wanted to do 12 laps, or basically 10.7 KM, but something was not working. It was like forcing myself to move, making my leg to go one infront of the other. What got me through was saying to myself “I can do this, I am strong!

Anyhow, I decided to cut it one lap shorter and got inside to do some strength.

Oh, here are my stats in case you are interested:

Time Average HR Highest HR
1 hour, 6 minutes 162 BPM 178 BPM

Strength Training

I did a mixture of Gina’s lower body moves and some abs:

  • Leg Raises and Leg Lifts  – 3 x 15
  • Bicycle crunches – 3 x 30
  • Russian Twist – 3 x 15 holding 2 kg dumbbells
  • Toe Touch – 3 x 15
  • 1 leg Plank – 30 seconds per leg. these are hardcore!
  • Side Plank – 30 seconds per leg. lost balance quite often
  • Romanian Deadlift – 1 set of 45 reps
  • Walking Lunges – 60 reps (about 30 per leg)
  • Sumo Squat and Leg Raise – 1 x 20 per leg

Celeb Ramble

So Kim Kardashian recently told PEOPLE magazine that she is getting ready for the summer. She said:

"I am eating well and I go to the gym every day and I already see a difference."

I don’t like how she changes her statements regarding her diet and workout regime every couple of months. But she does seem cute and healthy! Here are some pictures of her I found on Skinny Versus Curvy

She’s Back!

Hi guys!

Wow aren’t I glad the weekend is here! This week has been insane, and I have also been getting up 30 minutes earlier because I wanted to increase my mileage, which got me extra tired I suppose. Well, more on that later!

This coming up week is officially my last week of school. I still have my dissertation but after my finals (June 1st and 2nd) I am out! Which means, I will have a Bachelors degree in international business and frankly no idea what I want to do next. Growing up is hard to do!

Morning Run

So today was a long day run!15.3 KM!

I was not sure how it will go; on each of the last three days I have run 10.7 KM, and on the last day (Friday) I actually did this in intervals which means I was driving my body crazy! Oh and I should also mention that I ran it without earphones. Can you believe it? I used to have a life dependency on my iPod!

Anyways, I woke up at 6.45 and headed outside.

My run went by extremely well. I actually did not feel like I was going to die and the mental game I had to play last week was not really necessary today. I guess all these 10 KM runs are helping!

Time Average HR Highest HR
1 hour, 37 minutes 165 BPM 182 BPM

I am still not sure what I will do tomorrow because I am mainly dependent on my body, the weather and my tiredness level. That said, I also have my bikes and roller skates ready for usage. I cannot stand biking – it hurts my knees like crazy. But roller skating is fun. But at the end of the day I am still a running addict and I want to run!

Strength Training

No strength training today, but I have an ab-filled plan for tomorrow and I still need to do Gina’s lower body strength routine!

I had some pains at the back of my left knee (which was there for the last 5 days or so) so I did some of Polly’s yoga. I LOVE her videos! She makes me like yoga!

Yummy Goodness

As ya’ll can probably tell from my food posts, I am eating a ton because I am so hungry. Well, it changes really. One day breakfast will leave me super food (thank you, broccoli + tortilla) and the next day I will feel like I need to eat again as soon as I am done!

I have been mainly craving apples and veggies….but today my mother came home with these:

Guys, Creme Caramel is basically Dulce de Leche in its European format. This was SCREAMING my name! My ma and sister just took a teaspoon each and started eating and eating! I had to get up and leave the table because I knew I would not be able to stop once I got started. I am waiting till I get to Israel and have the light version :)

Well, don’t take it the wrong way either. I wanted to eat it but not too bad. I don’t deprive myself of foods, but I found that my biggest craving at that moment was another portion of steamed veggies. Since I couldn’t be bothered to make those, I just left.

Celeb Ramble

So I found these online today!

New Moon – Official Poster

(really???)

Okay. Bella looks strong and determined. She should be looking desperate and highly dependent on Jacob. I think Taylor Launter  is the only one who sort of resembles his character in this poster. What I don’t get is why he is between Edward and Bella?

Robert Pattinson Edward is of course not the Edward Cullen I have in my head. Yes, I know, Robert Pattinson is the hottest thing on this planet (after all, his kiss was auctioned for €20,000 – HAHA!!!), but he is siknnier than the Edward Cullen who I imagined!

But I still HEART them all! LOL I am such a positive individual, aren’t I?

So some more New Moon goodness:

I will leave you with THAT!

See you tomorrow!

Zucchinis and Eggplants were on sale today! You know this is my paradise, so I got about 700 g worth of  zucchinis and another 1.3 kg worth of eggplants. I chopped them and stuck them in the microwave (topped with nothing but salt!)

The Underdog

So a nice someone (read: my celebrity loving sister) told me ED WESTWICK will star as HEATHCLIFF in an upcoming remake of WUTHERING HEIGHTS, which is my very favourite book! WOW! I am telling ya’ll, this is my kind of guy exactly.

My teachers always thought I favoured the “underdogs”….and Heathcliff fell under that category. I don’t know why, but injustice infuriates me to the core. I really go insanely mad when I see somebody mistreated for no apparent fair reason.

Honestly, if I weren’t studying International Business, I would be taking law.

Morning Run

WOW! So this morning, I actually went out to run in the rain.

I know! ME + RAIN = NO WAY!

Well, I am starting to discover that I am much more determined about the whole running concept than I used to be. Of course, you have to realise that fact that whenever summer and warm temperatures are concerned, I am pretty much up to anything. It’s those cold freezing winter months that get me all SAD!

Surprisingly, I also ran the same distance in the exact same time as yesterday! Go me!

I am off to study now! I have FINALS coming up and I need to cram!

Long run tomorrow (I hope!). Peace out!

Somebody is moving faster

Afternoon!

I was off to get some FAGE this afternoon but the store was out. Since it is SO freaking scarce in this country (only ONE store sells it, as far as I know, and I know well!) I really depend on them! But they were out and the delivery from the UK didn’t get here yet. Which means I have to drag myself to the store again tomorrow. Or the next day. I will see.

Morning Run

I wasn’t sure how my body legs were going to take a run after those sweet 16.3 KM yesterday. I think my head was also somewhere else this morning cause I was willing to do a quasi-speed workout and I ended up outside with my iPod.

So mentally I divided the “lap” I normally run and split it into sub-sections which I would run at 3/4 of full speed. Impossible to run full speed with those annoying earphones that keep falling.

I ended up speeding up on each of the seven laps and running an uphill section at the faster pace too.

Furthermore, I ended up running the whole thing in 35 minutes which is my fastest time yet.

Time

Because I had some extra time at hand I took a tiny de-tour and jogged a mini lap around some houses in my neighbourhood.

By that time I was sweating buckets….so I run home and hit the showers!

Strength Training

I am really tight on time this evening but I was determined to do Gina’s Shoulders, Chest and Triceps strength moves. She is so amazing! I am so grateful for all her efforts in this challenge; the strength moves are even adapted for the non-gym-member such as myself!

I did:

Alright. I’m out!
